SEM 1986 d.d. has been developing the activity of engineering from the moment it was founded right up until the present. With the expansion of the Company and the widening of its activities, there has been a need to separate and strengthen the Department which presently works as an independent business unit within the framework of the parent company. The employees of the Department are adequately educated professionals who simultaneously serve and control the entire process of knowledge management and the management of business activities. As such, all the important areas are included: electrical installation work, project design, construction of buildings in their entirety, as well as economic and legal aspects. SEM-Inženjering has participated in and was selected in many public tenders for performing electrical installation work as well as for construction work done for well-known companies and public institution such as the City of Split, the City of Kaštela, KBC Split (the Split Clinical Hospital) , ACI Opatija (Adriatic Croatia International Opatija marina), HEP (the State Electric Company), Hrvatske vode (the Croatian water management board), HP (Croatian Post), Hrvatske ceste (Croatian roads), the hotels in Brela, Tučepi, Makarska, Hvar etc. which is best demonstrated by the list of works performed.

By being attentive to the needs of the market, the Department has actively entered into projects of renovating and constructing residential and business buildings, hotels and other social institutions for the purpose of long-term lease or sale.
